On Monday, the girls’ varsity volleyball team defeated Springfield 3-0 during Senior Night. The team celebrated its three senior players: Maya Caristan, Zeynep Dogan and Anabelle Molina.
In the first set, Conestoga took an early lead with Dogan scoring the first point and the girls winning 25-21. The two teams were tied for the majority of the second set. Juniors Alexis Allen and Freya Bardulla made various spikes, and Conestoga won 25-14. In the third set, the Pioneers won again, taking the match 25-8.
The girls play their next match on Thursday, Oct. 19 against Cardinal O’Hara.
