At the Homecoming football game on Friday, the Pioneers faced off against Radnor. Senior Jude Cook scored a touchdown five minutes into the first quarter. Shortly following ’Stoga’s point after touchdown (PAT), Radnor brought the score to 7-7 with a touchdown and PAT of its own.

With another touchdown from Cook and an extra point from junior Jack Steigerwald, Conestoga gained a lead. Maintaining the lead, senior Charlie Gilmartin and Steigerwald brought the score to 21-7.

At halftime, longtime assistant graduate coach Sonny DiMartini was inducted into the Conestoga Football Hall of Fame. DiMartini played for the Pioneers his senior year of high school and has been with the team for a decade.

Strong offense and defense from both teams kept the score unchanged, giving the Pioneers the win 21-7. The team plays Ridley on Friday, Sept. 29.
