The girls’ varsity field hockey team continued its win streak during its Whiteout game against Garnet Valley on Thursday. To celebrate Whiteout, the girls collaborated with Morgan’s Message, an organization founded in honor of Morgan Rodgers, who passed away in April 2019 after struggling with mental health. The foundation aims to raise awareness about athletes’ mental health struggles.

’Stoga started strong, with three goals in the first quarter by freshman Peyton Esposito, senior Addie DelOrefice and senior Ava Lofgren.

The girls continued strong into the second and third quarter with junior Shae Wozniak, sophomore Aubrey DelOrefice and senior Ava Wells scoring one goal each. The team faced some pushback in the last quarter with Garnet Valley scoring two goals, but they won the game 7-2 with a goal from senior Sophia Pechin.

They will play their next game against Warren Hills on Friday, Sept. 22.
