The football team won against Upper Darby 22-8 during its blackout game on Thursday.
The boys started in the lead with a touchdown by senior Jude Cook and a field goal by junior Jack Steigerwald. Senior Quinn Nichols successfully performed a punt block, bringing the score to 15-0 by halftime.
In the second half, the Pioneers maintained their lead after senior Jake Yancoskie scored a touchdown. Upper Darby scored a touchdown and a 2-point conversion, but Conestoga ultimately won the game 22-8.
The boys will play their next game on Sept. 22 against Radnor.
