The volleyball team lost to the Downingtown West Whippets 3-1 on Saturday.
The Pioneers took an early lead in the first set and were able to maintain that advantage to win the set 25-16. Going into the second set, the score was close until Conestoga took the lead 12-7. Soon after, the Whippets made a comeback and won the set 26-24.
Downingtown West continued its momentum into the third set, winning the set 25-17. In the fourth set, Conestoga had a small lead. Downingtown West was able to close the gap and won the set 25-21, taking the game.
With the loss, the girls have a 2-2 overall score for the season. Their next match is against Radnor on Monday, Sept. 11.
