The girls’ varsity soccer team suffered a tough 2-0 loss against Moon Area High School at the PIAA 4A Championships on Friday, Nov. 19. Though the team went into halftime down 1-0, the team revitalized the second half with high pressure and the game opened up more, earning the girls several good chances at goal, including a header from senior defender Haleigh Wintersteen. Overall, the girls had several strong plays with sophomore goalkeeper Greta Steege making three saves.
