Celebrating the 11th annual ’Stoga Showcase of Sound, the Marching Pioneer Band had the privilege of hosting 16 bands at this year’s Cavalcade competition. Rounding out the night with 88.97 total points, Pittston Area High School placed first in Ensemble Visual, Field Music, Overall Effect Visual and Overall Effect Music within the Independence A Division. Nazareth Area won the Yankee Open Division with a score of 94.90 total points, and Great Valley placed first in the American A Division with 89.91 total points.
’Stoga band members Danny Marshall, Charlie Susanin, Clara Kantorczyk and Yi-En Ho added flair to the performance with their solos, bringing the Pioneers to an overall score of 86.80 points in the Freedom Division. To celebrate their last performance of the year, ’Stoga band members ran across Teamer, ending the season on a high note.
