The Conestoga varsity boys’ baseball team beat Lower Merion 4-1 on Tuesday, May 11. They got the bat on the ball early, scoring three runs with three hits in the bottom of the first inning. Nico Arbes scored one run after a bases loaded hit by pitch, and Kyle Gartner brought two over on an RBI single. Senior JT Zellefrow stole home in the fourth inning, scoring the fourth run. Solid pitching by Junior Shane McCullen and Senior Connor Neilon held off Lower Merion’s offense, with no errors and two double plays in the fourth and fifth innings securing Conestoga the win.
