The Conestoga varsity boys’ lacrosse team defeated Springfield 9-5 on Thursday, May 6. Springfield had a quick start in the first quarter, leading 2-0 in the first 12 minutes. Seniors Wylder Adkinson and Joey Allen then scored goals in the remaining three minutes, bringing the score to 2-2 by the end of the quarter. Winning 6-2 by halftime, the ‘Stoga team held onto its lead for the rest of the game. Strong defense on both sides kept the score at 6-2 throughout the third quarter, with three goals in the fourth quarter, giving ’Stoga the 9-5 win. Adkinson, Graham Blatchford, Tommy Ciccarone, Peter Detwiler and Patrick Reilly scored the remaining goals.
