On Thursday, Jan 28, the girls’ varsity basketball team lost to Haverford by a score of 40-25.
The girls were losing by a score of 33-14 up until the fourth quarter, when they started to make a ferocious comeback. Senior Katharine Gay led the team as she started off the quarter with a crucial two-point jumper. Haverford struggled to respond as Gay scored an and-one layup and another two-point basket. Freshman Kate Gallica also scored a critical layup, cutting the lead down to ten points. But Haverford scored two late-game baskets in the final minutes to seal the game.
