The varsity boys’ soccer team took on Springfield on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in their last regular season home game of the year.
The game was preceded by the senior night celebration, which honored senior team members Ryan Bell, Javier Coll, Matt Doble, Quinn Frederick, Charlie Furtaw, Patrick Kelly, Liam O’Murchu, Cael Willner and Nate Xu.
After the opening ceremony concluded, the Pioneers quickly took a convincing first half lead with two goals from Javi Coll, a goal from Nate Xu and a goal from Tyson Burling. Going into the second half with a convincing 4-0 lead, the boys’ final point came on a goal from Liam O’Murchu for a final score of 5-0.
Although their opponent is yet to be decided, the Pioneers will have their first playoff match on Thursday, Oct. 24.
